Sarah Martin

I am a second year PhD student at the University of Bristol, supervised by Matthew Tointon. My research mainly concerns studying groups from both a geometric and probabilistic perspective. In particular, I am currently studying how geodesics behave in groups of polynomial growth, and percolation on groups.

I am currently a co-organiser for the 26th Edition of PGTC alongside Marina Anagnostopoulou-Merkouri, Pénélope Azuelos, David Guo, Merlin Haith Rowlatt and Hongyi Huang. The conference will take place in Bristol on the 1st - 4th July 2025. Also, I will be co-organising the Bristol Junior Geometry Seminar (BRIJGES) from Autumn 2025.
